If you want to make your own homemade body building supplements

When most people think of body building supplements, they think of those expensive, packages versions, which are available online, in gyms and from specialist stores. However, while those are the best-known body building supplements, there’s really no reason why you can’t make your own body building supplements at home.

In fact, some might argue that because you have complete control over what goes into your homemade body building supplements, you’re actually more likely to get the results you want.

Protein Shakes

Many of the commercial body building supplements out there come in the form of protein shakes. You can make your own protein shakes at home, quickly and easily, if you have a blender, and it will cost you a fraction of what commercial body building supplements would.

Start with a base of skimmed milk (you don’t want the added fat from whole milk.) Add low fat cottage cheese (high protein, low in fat) and some whey powder (you can buy this from health food stores) add a whole peeled banana, and blend.

Try adding different flavourings to your home made protein shakes, to ring the changes – but whatever you do, you’ll certainly find that they’re definitely cheaper, and tastier, than most of the commercial body building supplements out there.

Protein Bars

Another one of the more popular bodybuilding supplements out there are protein bars. You can make these at home too.

Melt about 16 ounces of peanut butter in the microwave, and then mix in a little milk, and a fair amount of whey powder. Add oats, nuts, raisins and other ingredients, and then leave the bars to harden overnight. Not only are these protein bars tasty and a high energy body building supplement, they’re also a fraction of the price of anything you can buy anywhere!

High Protein Snacks

High protein snacks are another great choice for home made body building supplements. Choose options like canned tuna, hard boiled eggs, low fat cheese and other high protein foods, or keep trail mix or peanuts with you when you’re out. All of these high protein snacks are essentially body building supplements, and the more you can fit into your diet, the better for your muscle building goals.

The Basics

If you want to make your own homemade body building supplements, you will need to buy a few basics, like whey powder. However, once you’ve bought them, you can use them to boost the protein content of nearly every meal you make and eat, all of which is great if you’re looking to boost your protein intake, and bulk up faster.

You could even substitute whey powder for powdered milk, or powdered eggs, in many of the recipes and dishes you already use – just remember that when it comes to muscle building, the most important thing for human bodies is amino acids, or protein.

That’s the secret of most of the commercial body building supplements out there – they pack a lot more protein into them than ordinary products, and since protein is necessary for muscle building, that’s an essential part of any body building regime.

Anything you can do to boost your protein intake, is, in a sense, your own version of body building supplements, so get creative, and get results.

Progressive muscle overload is what makes the muscles grow

f you have always wanted to work out and build muscles to be healthy and get that attractive chiseled body that will turn all heads, you know you can, and you should. Have you tried any muscle building programs yet? Are there any programs you tried and if you did, have they worked for you? There are some very important tips you need to know about bodybuilding, here are the most important tips you should have on your fingertips for successful bodybuilding. These tips come recommended by bodybuilding experts and professionals, I am sure they will be invaluable to you.

a) Preparation is very important, and by this I mean your physical and psychological preparation even before you embark on bodybuilding process. The preparation involves many things including finding motivation, getting your body in the right physical state for the exercises, including using such exercises as cardio and aerobics to build up on strength and stamina.

b) Getting the right program to use in the workouts is another very important thing. Since there are so many details about working out to build muscles, you will need a workout program that you can follow in every aspect to effectively build your muscles. Most people often make the mistake of adopting a workout program they pull off the internet or in a magazine just because someone who is bulked is using it. Different body types, different objectives and different work out resources should determine what program is best for you.

c) When you have the right program, follow it to the latter. Do not think that more frequent work outs or working out for longer in the gym will deliver faster results; sometimes working out less and resting more is what it takes to develop your muscles. Also, ensure that you get at least 8 hours of sleep every night because your muscles grow when you are resting and not when you are working out.

d) Another important element you should have on your fingertips when working out is the importance of proper diet. Food is what builds the body, it is important that you eat the right kind of meals and know what foods will help provide the fuel the body needs for the workouts. In some cases, you may have to change your entire diet just so you can sustain your workouts and build muscles.

e) Progressive muscle overload is what makes the muscles grow. It is important that you incorporate various workouts such as cardio and weight training in your workouts so as to build lean muscle mass and maintain a good and balanced body figure even as you bulk up. These are some of the things that you can find in your workout and bodybuilding program – be sure to choose a program that is complete and holistic.

Weight training only is not enough to give you an amazing body shape, bulked up muscles, strength and well chiseled body; it takes a lot more and it is only in knowing what to do and how to do that you can be able to work out and build your body muscles with ease.
